LAKEVIEW BAPTIST CHURCH
Director of Internationals Ministry, and Coordinator of Auburn Perspectives Missions Courses
After completing a pastoral internship at
Lakeview Baptist Church and serving for two years as the administrative assistant for Internationals Ministry,
I now have the privilege of serving on the equipping staff of Lakeview as the new Director of Internationals Ministry.
God has brought people from all over the world to Auburn and we have an opportunity to share the love of Christ
with them. Through English classes, Sunday and weekday Bible studies, transportation ministries, and other special
events, we are able to build friendships and become vessels God uses as He draws the nations to Himself.
I count it an honor to serve with such an incredible staff, among such godly members,
and in a church that is committed to reaching the whole world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
My responsibilities are two-fold in this position. In addition to my role in Internationals outreach,
I also coordinate and lead the Perspectives mission classes including Perspectives on the World Christian Movement
and Encountering the World of Islam. It is exciting to see students week by week being equipped
and learning about God's heart for the nations.
SOUTHERN SEMINARY
Ph.D. Student in Missions, Evangelism and Church Growth
God has graciously allowed me to be one of five men in the first "cohort" group of a pilot Ph.D. program at
The Southern Baptist Theological
Seminary. Unlike a traditional Ph.D., my seminar and colloquium coursework is done primarily via
extension with lots of independent study and online interactions with my professors and other five coursemates.
We only have two weeks of on-campus time in Louisville each semester, allowing us to continue to serve full
time in ministry while pursuing our doctoral studies. It is a bit of a challenge balancing ministry
and school, but it is such a blessing. The degree is in Missions, Evangelism and Church Growth with
minors in Theology and Leadership. Presently I am in my fourth semester
of doctoral studies with classes in Ecclesiology, Church Planting, and Leadership.
I am excited about this opportunity to further my seminary education in order to be equipped to one day
teach in the context of a local-church seminary program young men who are called to the Gospel minstry.
With these opportunities and all of the time demands associated with them, I greatly covet your prayers.
Please keep in touch. If you do not receive regular e-mail updates from me and would like
to begin receiving these ministry updates, please contact me.
